Opportunities to learn and serve in partnership are right around the corner! Here's what's coming up this fall:

Sunday, October 9, 6:30 -8 PM
Not even home a week, Pastor Diane will share updates from her trip to Tungamalenga.  We'll discuss next steps for the Mahove water project, see photos of the newly dedicated chapels at Makambalala and Mpalapande, and get updates on ongoing scholarship, medical and construction efforts.

Wednesday, October 12 & Sunday, October 16
Godzone learns about Tungamalenga Partnership this week!  Pastor Diane will share highlights of her trip with the children in large group, and travelers will help children explore three rotation stations, learning about how we partner to construct chapels, and experiencing a Tanzanian child's daily life at school and at play.  Volunteers needed at all Godzone hours -- please let Kirsten.Levorson@sotv.org know if you are available.

Tuesday, October 18, 7 PM
Learn about the 2012 Journey to Tungamalenga.  Trip leaders Kirsten Levorson & Sharon Mertz will provide an overview of what to expect, typical itinerary, how to prepare, costs and other details.  Whether you're thinking of traveling to Tungamalenga in 2012 or farther in the future, you're welcome to bring your questions and enthusiasm.

Saturday, November 5, 8:30 - 11:30 AM
Saint Paul Area Synod congregations involved in the Bega Kwa Bega partnership gather at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St Paul to celebrate the relationship we have with the people of the Iringa Diocese.  Special guests will be Rev. Lusungu Msigwa and Rev. Blastone Gavile.  Hear updates on a wide variety of ministries -- scholarships, Ilula Hospital, Tumaini University, Agricultural Institute, Micro Finance, Radio Furaha, Million Tree Project, and more.

Saturday, November 12, 9 AM - 3 PM
Sell Tanzanian handcrafts at the annual Shepherd of the Valley Holiday Boutique.  Proceeds from these sales help our partners construct chapels in many of the 20 village congregations.  We need two volunteers at each of the following times: 9-11, 11-1, 1-3.

December 1
The drive for scholarship funding is underway, and our hope is that by December 1st we will be able to tell our partners that we have enough support to maintain our commitment to provide 125 secondary scholarships plus 15 university scholarships.  If you've received a renewal notice, please return it by December 1st.  New to the scholarship program? Forms are available at the Welcome Center.  These scholarships give the opportunity of a lifetime to young people from Tungamalenga, who value your contributions so very much.
