Prayers

In our Bega kwa Bega companionship, we like to say our relationship is built on the three pillars of prayer, presence and projects. Several times we have exchanged prayer cards in order to strengthen our relationship through prayer.  When we have a face and a name and we commit to pray daily for that person, we deepen our relationship and our commitment to one another.

This year during our visit to Usolanga Parish, our newest partner, we took photos, gathered names, and asked our partners how they would like us to pray for them. Here's what they said.

Pray that we live a long life so that we can be faithful ministers here, and for the children to do well in school and to have good relationships with other people.

Pray that my daughter's national exam results come on time and be good results, so that she can continue her education and get a chance to join the university, so she can reach her dreams.

Pray that my children grow and know God better.

Pray that my family will be faithful in the word of God.

Pray that the members of this congregation will love the word of God and have unity for the work going on, like keeping chickens and goats.

Pray that my children will overcome the challenge of paying school fees.

Pray for my family to live in harmony and for the work we do to succeed.

Pray for my marriage, it is not stable. My husband doesn't worship and doesn't want to be a member of the church. It affects the family economy.

Pray for my husband's health, he was in an accident on the motorcycle and needs healing.

Pray for a good economy so that I can care for my family.

Pray that my children will love school, will love the church, and will someday work in the church.

Pray that my family will be safe from disease, that the children will study and succeed in school, and for this partnership to proceed well.

Pray for peace in my family, for my husband to love the church (he is far from the church), and for the family to love God.

Pray for me, my goal is to be a doctor (said by a seven year old girl).

Pray that God blesses you who came to visit.

Amen.
